UI/UX Design, Web Design & Development
Project Scope
I worked as a UX/UI designer and developer on this project as a UX/UI Consultant.
I Collaborated with team members to enhance UI
on company website and CRM application and made HTML and CSS updates via Joomla & Github.
Design Contributions
Problem
Conduct a UX/UI review of Booksters website
and application.
Solution
Participate in regular strategic meetings to discuss software improvements and user pain points.
Front-end Development challenges
Working with the companies in-house CMS was challenging as they had a very specific and unique file structure incorporated into Joomla.
Often changes would be required to be made twice on Joomla and then pushed through to Github which could at times seem long winded. Once I got used to the unique set-up things then became more seamless.
Design Rationale
I was challenged to create new graphics and come up with a new user flow that would allow users to have easier access to the softwares features without becoming confused and dropping off the page.
Results
I worked on a new UI that allowed users a more practical transition between feature pages without becoming overwhelmed.
Reflections
Working with a companies specialised in-house software was challenging but the learning curve was worthwhile and I was happy with my contribution.
